Recent Safety Actions

On 2 September 2024, Medtronic initiated a Class I recall in china for certain lots of the NIM Vital™ Nerve Monitoring System (国械注进20233070120) due to the potential for false-negative nerve-response readings that could lead to nerve injury [^50^][^60^]. Affected units are being replaced under a corrective-action plan approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Other recent recalls include a Class II recall of single-use surgical blades (2024) and a Class III recall of disposable burs due to packaging errors [^55^][^61^].
